The man the State Supreme Court said did not molest or kill a 20-month old child in 1991 may be released, despite the man who prosecuted him insisting he’s guilty. Robert Carbone, now in private practice, was the deputy DA who sent Vincente Benevides to death row. In an emotional discussion, Carbone, spelled out his reasons for believing the State is making a mistake.
