Bakersfield Police Department officers were on scene Monday morning of a possible drowning of a child inside a motel bathroom.

Numerous police officers and investigators were seen at the Motel 6, 1350 Easton Drive, investigating the incident, but KBAK/KBFX news reported that the police department said the child was being treated at a local hospital. The same report said that the motel manager held the lifeless body of a child.

At the scene, at least two other children were seen in the room. Police officers were also seen going door-to-door asking questions of the motel’s guests.
