Dr. Raj Patel on treating low testosterone in men

During the Aug. 11 episode of “The Richard Beene Show,” Dr. Raj Patel discussed the symptoms and treatment for low testosterone.

“Testosterone usually declines as men age, especially after 50,” Patel explained to host Richard Beene.

Patel, however, said the case for low testosterone does not impact every man.

“I have seen robust testosterone in patients in their 80s,” Patel said. “So, it depends on person to person.”

Patel said some of the signs of low testosterone include a large belly, declining bone mass, and depression.

“Abdominal fat is more related to low testosterone than the face or neck,” Patel said.
