Pair wanted in Bakersfield chop shop case

The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a man and a woman who they suspect operated a chop shop and stealing vehicles.

Police said they are asking for the public’s assistance in location Jimmy Kellet, 41, and Teresa Barger, 37, after police recovered stolen vehicles in the 6000 block of Inyo Madera Street at a residence on the morning of July 28 in Bakersfield. Police said they found two stolen travel trailers, two stolen motorcycles, a stolen all-purpose trailer and a stolen off road golf cart at the residence.

Kellet is described as a white male, 5-feet-10, 170 pounds, brown hair and green eyes. Barger is described as a white female, 5-4, 140 pounds, blonde hair and brown eyes.
