One man dead, another wounded in Bakersfield shooting

Kern County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating the shooting of two men, one who later died, early Sunday morning in the 700 block of Knotts Street in Bakersfield.

Deputies said they arrived at 1:33 a.m. and found two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to Kern Medical, where one man died from his wounds.

Detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information about this case they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
