Why are Republican’s losing faith in America’s universities?

During the July 13 episode of “The Richard Beene Show,” Richard Beene and Cal State University Bakersfield political science professor Dr. Jeanine Kraybill discussed a recent Pew Research Center finding that a majority of those identifying as Republicans say colleges and universities have a negative effect on the way the country is moving forward.

From Pew: A majority of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (58%) now say that colleges and universities have a negative effect on the country, up from 45% last year. By contrast, most Democrats and Democratic leaners (72%) say colleges and universities have a positive effect, which is little changed from recent years.
