Dr. Patel on the disruption of blue light

Bakersfield Dr. Raj Patel said that people are increasingly seeing their sleep disrupted by the light from their cell phones or other mobile devices, and that can have some serious issues for your health.

Patel made the comments during his regular Friday segment on “The Richard Beene Show,” and he said the “blue light” emitted from LED devices, which includes a wide range of devices, can be extremely disrupted to sleep. Patel said that sunlight offsets the impact of blue light, but at night it can be problematic, and it reduces melatonin.
