CSUB professor says North Korea is throwing a temper tantrum

A Cal State University Bakersfield professor said that North Korea is a weak country that is throwing a temper tantrum during an interview on the July 6 episode of “The Ralph Bailey Show.”

Host Ralph Bailey asked CSUB professor Mark Martinez if he should be obsessed about North Korea, or not worry about at all.

“There’s something to be concerned about when it comes to North Korea,” Martinez said. “I don’t know if I would be obsessing about it. I think there is a couple of things we want to point out: North Korea is just notoriously weak; they are surrounded by enemies.”

Martinez said that North Korea’s best friend is China, which is also its largest trading partner, but that the Chinese are keeping the North Korean regime afloat.

“What we are looking at, when we look at North Korea, is a temper tantrum,” Martinez said. “We have to look at North Korea for what they’ve got, and what (North Korean leader) Kim Jong Un represents, and that is a very weak country that doesn’t have a lot of resources and someone who is looking for attention.”
