Coroner IDs man killed in Union Avenue shooting

The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified a 21-year-old Bakersfield man as the victim in early Fourth of July morning shooting at a marijuana collective on South Union Avenue.

Sheriff’s deputies said Michael Dorrough, 21, was found shot to death inside a Dodge Charger parked at the Mars Marijuana Collaborative, 2545 Union Ave. A woman was found in the car suffering from gunshot wounds to her body. Deputies said the shooting happened at 2:11 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information on this case, they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
