It took just 30 second for Garth Brooks to sell out of his July 27 show at the Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles. It was so fast that it even caught Brooks by surprise.
“It’s great news but it’s not really great news for the fair,” Brooks said in a video posted to Twitter. “It was gone in 30 seconds. It was gone. So now the fair is trying to deal with people on the outside trying to get in.
“Anybody who does that for us, we owe them another show,” said Brooks, with his wife Trisha Yearwood by his side.
Brooks said they will play a second show but it is unclear if that show will immediately follow the first show. This would be Brooks first appearance at the Mid-State Fair and he made an impact by selling out more than 14,000 tickets in 30 seconds.
It’s another big season for the Mid-State Fair with concerts by Lionel Richie, John Mayer and the Zac Brown Band to name a few. The fair runs from July 19-30.
