Sheriff’s still searching for suspect in Bakersfield armed robbery

Nearly a year later, the Kern County Sheriff’s Department is searching for an armed robbery suspect who held up a Bakersfield Chinese restaurant.

Deputies said at 8 p.m. on Aug. 25, 2016, a suspect entered the Panda Wok located at 5901 Niles Street in Bakersfield and robbed an employee at gunpoint. Deputies are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-8, with a medium build and a goatee.
