Police search for suspect in Bakersfield vehicle burglaries

After a pair of burglaries at Holiday Inn Express hotels, Bakersfield Police are asking for the community’s assistance in finding a suspect involved with the vehicle break-ins.

Police said they are searching for a white male, 5-foot-6, bald and thin, who is driving a light colored station wagon.

The first vehicle break-in happened at 11:15 p.m. on May 14 at the Holiday Inn Express parking lot located at 3001 Buck Owens Boulevard.

The suspect removed loss, and fled in a vehicle.

On May 15, at 5:30 a.m., the suspect again forced entry to an unoccupied vehicle that was parked in the Holiday Inn Express parking lot located at 3927 Marriott Drive.

Investigators said they believe the same suspect is responsible for both incidents.

Anyone with information regarding these investigations, or the identity of the suspect is asked to call Detective Amy Davis (661) 327-3514, or the Bakersfield Police Department (661) 327-7111.
