Sheriffs investigate Lamont murder

Kern County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man in Lamont on Sunday morning.

Deputies said they were called to the 7600 block of Kearney Avenue and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Deputies said medical aid was performed on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information about this case they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
