Stinson’s makes a major charitable announcement

BAKERSFIELD — To honor 70 years in business in Bakersfield and across Kern County, Stinson’s is making an interesting offer to the

Led by owner Ben Stinson, Stinson’s, which specializes in office supplies and office furniture, will give $70,000 in donations to 70 local nonprofits.

Ben Stinson made the announcement about the initiative during an appearance on Monday’s “The Richard Beene Show.”

“We are looking for 70 recipients because that’s the earmark of the year,” Stinson said. “We are going to be allocating the funds as needed. We look at a minimum probably of $250 to, possibly, as much as $5,000.”
