BPD look for woman suspected in assault of GET bus passenger, driver

The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for a woman they say assaulted a passenger  and driver on a GET Bus April 21.

Police said they do not know why the suspect assaulted the passenger, who suffered the minor injuries. The bus driver intervened in the incident and was also assaulted, suffering minor injuries.

The incident happened at 1:13 p.m. when the bus was traveling in the 700 block of south Chester Avenue.

Police describe the woman as 40-45 years of age, black, 5-4, 150 pounds with short black hair.
