Taft health fair is coming Saturday

It’s a chance for Taft resident and others to get a check up of their health, and that opportunity is coming on Saturday.

The 2017 Taft Health Fair will be from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Buena Vista High School, 900 N. 10th St. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Taft.

During an appearance on “First Look with Scott Cox,” Harry Starkey, who represents the Rotary Club of Taft, asked host Scott Cox which doctor was the most popular?

“It is the dermatologist,” said Starkey, who read off a long list of doctors who will be available to answer questions at the event. “Because everyone wants to point at their skin and say what is that. We have pediatric and adult dermatologist.”

Starkey said there will be $50 testing for blood chemistry, but those interested should fast for 12 hours before the test.
