Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra set for a heroic night of music

Some of the most recognizable orchestral music ever written will be performed tonight at the Fox Theater by the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra, and it could be a rousing show.

“It’s really a great event where everyone can hop in and have some fun, and just enjoy some great movie music,” said Conductor Stilian Kirov during Friday’s appearance on “First Look with Scott Cox.”

That’s right “Heroes and Villains” will feature some of the soundtrack picks from the biggest movies, including Batman, Superman, Spiderman and the cable television series “Game of Thrones.”

“It’s really great music from really great movies,” Kirov said.

The concert starts at 7 p.m., with the doors opening at 6 p.m.

Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased at the Fox box office.
