Bakersfield Police investigating Pacific Street shooting

The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a man who was found in an alleyway off of Pacific Street early Tuesday morning.

In a news release, police said the man was found unresponsive in the 1300 block of Pacific Street. The man was suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. That man later died from his injuries.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s office.
