While Kern County suffered plenty of damage from Friday’s storm, the damage in Southern California was extensive, especially in San Bernardino County.
A section of southbound Interstate 15 through the Cajon Pass, the connector between Victorville and San Bernardino, was washed away during heavy rains, swallowing up a San Bernardino County Fire Department engine.
