In the most watched video of the week on “First Look with Scott Cox,” host Scott Cox interviewed Dr. Vip Dev about the surgery the doctor performed to remove a 140-pound tumor from a 57-year-old Gulfport, Miss. man last month.
Roger Logan had lived with the massive tumor for years and had faced doctors who were reluctant to perform surgery on the man. Dev said previous doctors may have been wary to perform surgery on Logan based on his size, or out of fear of the liability from the procedure, but Dev was undeterred by the challenge.
“I said let’s find out what it is,” Dev said during a 17-minute interview on the Feb. 15 show. “Let’s see what we can do for the guy.”
The surgery proved success and the story has generated international media attention.
