This CHP traffic stop ended up being a bundle of joy

It was probably the last thing to expect on the road during Valentine’s Day, but it turned out to be a lot of love in a bundle of joy.

After stopping a car for speeding on Interstate 5 near Highway 43, a CHP officer from the Buttonwillow station discovered the driver of the Hyundai he had pulled over was more nervous than he expect, and with good reason: Here’s how the CHP explained it on their Facebook page:

No two traffic stops are ever the same. Shortly before 8:00 this morning Buttonwillow CHP Officer Kremsdorf stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-5 near Highway 43. Officer Kremsdorf discovered a nervous father-to-be in the drivers seat and an expectant mother in labor in the back seat. Officers Taylor and Garcia responded to assist and with the help of the Kern County Fire Department and Hall Ambulance, who arrived right on time, a healthy baby boy was delivered in the back seat on the side of the freeway. Congratulations to the new parents who have a great labor story to tell and who also got a Valentines Day verbal warning from the Buttonwillow CHP!
