TRUE DETECTIVE: Season 2 is out of the gate.
If this didn’t have the True Detective brand on it, if it were another cop show, I’d probably be walking away after watching the premiere episode. It’s not nearly as well written and engaging as the first episode of the first season was. But I trust Nic Pizzolatto, the writer/creator/show runner, enough to stick with it to see where this goes.
The performances were pretty good, with Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams standing out.
