Police seek public’s help identifying robbery suspects

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the community to assist in identifying three men suspected of an armed robbery at a White Lane. Metro PCS store on Feb. 15.

In a news release, police said the three men entered the store in the 6300 block of White Lane, and took money from the cash register and assaulted one of the employees before fleeing in a 1990’s model Ford Expedition on Mei Yen Lane. The vehicle is described as faded brown in color, with a California license plate with the first letter of J.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s, 5-foot-9, 170 pounds and wearing a black sweatshirt with red sleeves, a red hood. He was also wearing blue jeans, a gray scarf and he was armed with a small semi automatic firearm.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s, 5-foot-8, 175 pounds, and wearing a black sweatshirt with a white Nike insignia. He was also wearing tan pants, had a black mask on and was wearing black gloves.

The third suspect is a black male in his late 20, standing 5-feet-8, 175 pounds with a black mask, black sweatshirt and ripped blue jeans.

During the robbery, the first suspect was involved in taking cash from the register and assaulting the employee, while the second suspect also removed money from another register, police said. The third suspect served as a lookout, according to police.
