The Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary is hosting the final day of its Thousand Flags event at The Park at Riverwalk with several events to mark Memorial Day.
Starting at 11 a.m., the Golden Empire Drum and Bugle Corps, along with other entertainers, will perform at the park. At noon, the opening ceremonies, including the singing of the National Anthem, will begin. At 10 a.m., patriotic-themed activities will happen around the park.
