Man dead after shooting at Fairfax Road store

The Bakersfield Police are investigating a shooting at a convenience store that left a man dead Saturday night.

Police said they were called to the 4800 block of Fairfax Road about a report of a shooting. When police arrived they found a man in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.

The Kern County Coroner later identified the man as 29-year-old Eraldo Castro.
