Board of Supervisors to hear public input on Hart Park parking fee

The Kern County Board of Supervisors will hear public input on Tuesday about a proposed $5 per day parking fee at Hart Park.

County officials say the fee will help offset the costs of the $750,000 annual costs to operate the park.

The Board of Supervisors will hear from the public during the 2 p.m. portion of Tuesday’s meeting.

Visitors could purchase an annual parking pass for $50 under the proposal. The county would also waive parking fees for Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day.,
