Kudos to the FBI for showing a tremendous amount of restraint in waiting out the kooks who holed up in the bird sanctuary in Oregon. Letting these idiots freeze for a month may have led to their catastrophic bad decision to drive a hundred miles away to meet with “local leaders”, which was an obvious ruse to get the leaders of the group far away from their armed camp and into custody. No geniuses, these Bundys. Trouble is, there are still some of the wingnuts at the reserve, and one would suppose that if they’re sticking it out after the Bundy brothers are going to jail, they may be the more dangerous members of the group. Let’s hope that they’re able to bring this thing to a peaceful conclusion in the shortest time possible, and that no more of these “patriots” decide to pull guns on cops. One did, and it didn’t end well.
