PATRICK, JUST SAY ‘I SCREWED UP’

Every DJ that must play the hit song of the day 42 times honestly believes someone has heard it at least five times when the nature of radio proves very few people sang the song twice. So excuse me if I repeat the theme of “TRBS” , it’s never the mistake you make it’s how you handle the mistake. And now Bakersfield NAACP President Patrick Jackson joins that long list of stupid smart men who simply can’t say, ‘I screwed up.” Like Pete Rose, Bill Clinton and the boy who cried wolf, Jackson blames his recent run in with his estranged wife, where BPD officers arrested him for felony spousal abuse, on a vast police led conspiracy to silence Jackson for his outspoken criticism and for highlighting police misconduct. You may have heard me rant on the show that Jackson’s weak, teenaged response has him on the fast track for the land of irrelevance. According to police records Jackson was arrested because of the condition of his wife and the word of her, her mother and now we know the word of one of his own children. “Daddy did it,” is almost irrefutable testimony. But Jackson’s guilt or innocence really isn’t the straw that will break his credibility back. Is there anyone who believes that Jackson, a little know head of an organization that had been working well of late with the BPD, was a target? Come on Patrick, it’s not too late. Call a press conference and throw yourself on the mercy of public opinion. Explain that you’ve been going through a lot lately, it can’t be easy to lose your family and you temporarily lost your mind. That story laps the field on ‘The Cops are out to get me.” Say it, Patrick! SAY IT!! I screwed up and THEN work on repairing your heavily damaged reputation and honor.
