Thanks, music lovers!

The other night I went to see the California Guitar Trio at Bakersfield College’s spectacular new indoor event center. The band was great, but the people i’d like to thank are the crowd. Bakersfield is well-known for terrible concert etiquette, but the folks at this show were awesome. They didn’t talk during songs. Nobody texted. Nobody felt the need to post any part of the show to social media. They actually all just listened to the music! They clapped, cheered, and laughed at the appropriate times. I never even saw a cellphone. I didn’t have to get up 30 times for people to get by. Nobody spilled beer on me! It was simply an amazing experience. So thanks to the band, thanks to promoter Rick Kreiser for continuing to bring such great artists here, but mostly thanks to the best music fans around for not ruining it for everyone.
