Steven Nicklaus joined the Kern Radio, News Talk 1180 Team in January 2008 sharing production work at KERN & producing all of the various morning shows since that date.

Nicklaus has always had to learn things the hard way or had to be the example for others. He was in an accident in June of 2001 and was in a Coma for 2 weeks and then had to learn how to walk + talk again. Doctors then said he would never walk again and 2 weeks later he was walking and talking better than before. He actually won the local 3 on 3 basketball tournament the following year and says he couldn’t have successfully went through all of it without the help and backing of his close friends and family.

Steven has always loved working in Radio & doing radio production on his time off the clock, but first started doing production at the age of 15 recording local music bands at his father’s recording studio. He also enjoys playing basketball, baseball, & football year round & watching his “Miami Dolphins” (lol) with his little brother Shayne and father, Kirk. He is also a big fan of watching movies with his Fiancée, Elizabeth, BBQ’n with his Mother Christle and playing with his nearly 1 year old son, Ryan Wayne.
