Bakersfield’s First Morning News was born in May of 2010. Anchor Jeff Lemucchi was joined by co-anchor Theresa Ebreo a few months later. The 3 hour morning news program is a fast-paced, informative show featuring local and national news, traffic and weather together on the 8’s with CHP Officer Robert Rodriguez and stock updates on the 6’s.
BFMN Producer and Technical Director Steven Nicklaus delivers sports headlines at 15 minutes past the hour, while Corey Costelloe provides his unique slant on the world of sports with his Home Turf vignette. Features on the 50’s include takes from Farmview, Earl Pitts and Inga Barks. On the 20’s, Jeff and Theresa go in-depth with local and national news makers, elected officials, fellow media members and Kern County movers and shakers.
BFMN is the only Bakersfield area news program on the radio. Jeff and Theresa use their knowledge and experience to seek out the most important local and national stories that affect the lives of Kern Radio listeners. Their humor and energy come through the speakers loud and clear every weekday morning on Kern Radio, News Talk 1180.
