Thanks For the Memories

JR and I just wanted again to say thank you to all who came down to the American General Media Headquarters Tuesday and helped us celebrate our one year anniversary. I never ceased to be amazed at how time speeds by and the years begin to melt into one another. Years seem like months and they pass quietly in the night like the Baltimore Colts skulking out of Maryland.
Meantime, Tuesday’s show was a virtual “TRBS” who’s who, from my high school football coach Gary Fowler and his wife, Barbara, to six year old Payden, shown in the picture above visiting our parking lot. Payden’s birthday falls on our anniversary and he and his father, Preston, often play air trumpet to our music ending the show, “Are You Having Any Fun?” by Tony Bennett accompanied by the Count Basie Orchestra. So as a gift they presented me the LP, an actual record, “One Night Stand” on which the song was performed. As I wrote on FB, one of the most thoughtful presents I’ve ever received.
Other anniversary gifts included a loaf of homemade bread, TWO Pecan Pies, several cards and well wishes and a huge slab of double chocolate fudge cake from TL Maxwell’s owner, Terry Maxwell.
You people are too good to me!!
Ain’t life grand! See you on the radio!
